EACH GENERATION IS ENTITLED TO TRANSGRESS EVERYTHING RECEIVED FROM PREVIOUS GENERATIONS. TURNING AWAY AT YOUTH FROM THE LEGACY OF A PREVIOUS GENERATION IS NATURAL, BESIDES BEING AN INCENTIVE TO IMAGINE YOUR OWN LEGACY. SALSITAS IS A PREJUDICE-FREE ANSWER TO THE TRADITION OF NIGHT-TIME LEISURE, COMBINING WHAT IS USUALLY EXPECTED AT NIGHT -MUSIC, DANCE, DRINKS, FOOD- WITH A SOPHISTICATED, ELEGANT DAYTIME FESTIVAL. DECORATIONS ARE HAND-MADE AND INHERITED, BUT HAVE PASSED THROUGH A FILTER OF IMAGINATION AND CHEER.

Controlled Exuberance
The columns became “palm trees” whose “fruits” were light sources. A large pineapple, created from a variation on stucco, contributes the tropical touch that large fans hanging from the ceiling manage to temper. Salsitas is a place that has had a resounding echo among youth in recent times. In regards to décor, it is in between "fallas" (Valencian paper mâche sculptures burnt on St. Joseph’s day) and kitsch without having forgotten a sense of highly elegant, artistic sources. They base their aesthetics on certain exuberance, like Art Decó and Modernisme, but pass everything through the filter of colonial decoration. Also, the set-up is open to imaginative reforms without causing aesthetic problems. The defining goal of the decoration is to vary the volume of any element that could be seen as disproportionate. This juxtaposition of restraint and excess is the point on which the decorative outline is based. After dinner, it is easy to locate the tables next to the wall and get ready for a dance. Salsitas, the work of Rafael Tamborero and José Luis López, also offers a wide selection at the bar, not only of drinks, but also one capable of satisfying those who prefer observation rather than participation; or just conversation. Other materials play their part in the interior design as well, such as the sheet metal with fretwork drawings etched with laser technology and the polyester resin and glass fibre used in the domes for the fans.
A PIONEER IN ADDING A CLUB TO A RESTAURANT. ITS EXUBERANT DECOR SETS IT APART FROM THE HEART OF EL RAVAL. THE SPACE IS DOMINATED BY WHITE HUES TINGEING THE DISPROPORTIONATE FORMS.
